KATHMANDU: National para-taekwondo team coach Kabiraj Negi Lama received the sixth DAN certificate from World Taekwondo's headquarters, Kukkiwon.
Lama - who has been looking after the national team since 2015 - wrote a thesis on Para-taekwondo in Nepal apart from passing the sixth DAN grading test and sending videos about Jitae, Shipjin, Pyongwon and Taebaek to Kukkiwon.
Under Lama's guidance, Nepali para-taekwondo players have won a number of medals in international tournaments.
Nepal Taekwondo Association General Secretary Deep Raj Gurung handed over the certificate to Lama on Tuesday.
