Lama triumphs

KATHMANDU: Phintso Ongdi Lama won the Ballantine’s Golf Tournament here at the Royal Nepal Golf Club on Saturday.

Played under stableford 7/8 handicap format, Lama accumulated 38 points. Col Shashi B Singh came second with 36 points.

Maj Nischaya Jung Rayamajhi won the gross section award with 33 points and carded four birdies to bag the most birdies trophy.

Kalyani Moktan (38) and Arshiya Banu (32) claimed top two positions respectively in women’s category, while Maj Gen Daman Bahadur Ghale claimed the senior section title with 36 points and Maj Bejoy Moktan lifted super senior category trophy with 31 points.

Purna Man Shakya (37) was the guest winner. Rishav Raj Acharya won the longest drive award and Gopal Chitrakar bagged the closes-tothe-pin trophy.

Australian Ambassador to Nepal Peter Budd, Regional Director of Pernod Ricard India Ravinder Saini and RNGC President Prachanda Bahadur Shrestha among others handed over the prizes to the winners.
