KATHMANDU:  Karateka Sunil Lama won bronze medal in the FIKA USA Open Karate  Tournament in New York on Monday. Lama defeated  American player 7-2 in the first round match to make it to the semi-finals in the 60kg weight category. Lama then lost to a Cuban player in the last four bout. After the tournament, Lama is scheduled to participate in a month-long training at the Gosinirio Martial Arts and Fitness Studio.
