KATHMANDU: A two-member team on Wednesday left for Jordan to participate in the third Afro-Asian Weightlifting Championship to be held in Amman from September 4-7. Devi Chaudhary will represent Nepal in the 58kg weight category in the championship. Chaudhary had won bronze medal 53kg weight category in the 12th South Asian Games in India earlier this year. Coach Tilak Raut accompanied Chaudhary to Jordan. National Sports Council Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista bade farewell to the team.
