Little Angels’ enter final

Little Angles’ Higher Secondary School defeated Kathmandu Don Bosco College (KDBC) by 38 runs in the second semi-final of the 1st CCRC Cup HSEB-level Inter-college Cricket Tournament here at Institute of Engineering ground. Capital College and Research Centre (CCRC) has been organising the 15-day tourn-ament. The Himalayan Times is the official media. LAS will play hosts CCRC ‘A’ in July 4 final. Elected to bat first, LAS scored 125 runs losing eight wickets in their allotted 25 overs. Rohit Bista top-scored with 55 runs including five hits to the ropes. Saurav contributed 14 off 19 balls with two boundaries and Prajwol scored 12 runs.
For Don Boco, Madhav grabbed three wickets giving away 27 runs in five overs. Nishesh and Rupak took two wickets apiece, while Ram Kumar claimed one wicket. In reply, KDBC were bowled out for 87 runs in 20.4 overs. Rohan top-scored with 19 off 42 balls including three boundaries. With two sixes and a four, Sandeep contributed 18 runs from 11 balls. Bijay scored 12 runs with two hits to the ropes and Niranjan scored 10 off 12 balls. For LAS, Sujan and Ashish pocketed two wickets apiece conceding 19 and eight runs in four and five overs respectively. Rohit, Subash and Ujjon claimed one wicket each. Rohit Bista of LAS was declared man of the match. Meanwhile, the organisers informed that United Academy and CCRC ‘A’ will play a friendly match on Saturday.
