Kathmandu, Itahari win

Pokhara: Kathmandu Metropolitan City hammered Dhangadi 12-2 and Itahari edged out Lekhnath 4-1 to advance to the quarter-finals of the third Inter-municipality Football Tournament today. Yugal Kishor Rai scored a hat trick and Pradeep Maharjan, Nirajan Rayamajhi, Subhash Rai and Ikjan Tuladhar converted goals each for Kathmandu. Khum Gurung also scored a goal. Milan Tamang pulled back both the goals for Dhangadi. Prashant Giri, Prabesh Katuwal, Nirmal Tamang and Rishi Rai scored for Itahai after Bharat Tamang put Lekhnath ahead.— HNS
