Don Bosco thrash Columbus

KATHMANDU: Nishan Tulachan scored 27 points as Don Bosco College registered a crushing 40-7 win over Columbus in the Inter-college Basketball tournament organised as part of the eighth Weeka Talentia by the Don Bosco College. Prime beat Campion 44-11 riding on Bikram Joshi’s 20 points while RIBS edged past Gyanodaya 39-35. In the girls’ section, Campion College outscored Don Bosco 28-5. — HNS

SM College oust Campion

KATHMANDU: Xavier International College beat Campion College 2-1 while Arjun Rai scored the winner as Tri Chandra Campus edged past Orient College 1-0 in the third Kwik’s Cup Inter-college Football Tournament. Kiran Rai and Ramesh Katuwal scored for Xavier while Suraj Shah replied for Campion. In another match, SM College ousted Campion Kathmandu College 6-4 in tie-breaker. — HNS

Joseph beat Shuvatara 5-2

KATHMANDU: Joseph School beat Shuvatara 5-2 while Kamal Rai scored four goals as Mt Sanai edged past Wilson Academy 4-3 in the first Daffodil Cup Inter-school Junior Football Tournament. In another match, Biraj Shrestha scored four and Rewaj Katwak and Shohil Shrestha added one each in Shuvatara School’s 6-2 win over Shri Diwa International School. — HNS
