KATHMANDU: RIBS and Prime entered the semi-finals of the Inter-Higher Secondary School Basketball Tournament after winning their respective matches. RIBS defeated White House 68-40. Rajan Gauchan top scored with 22 points for RIBS. Bikram netted 36 points as Prime beat Rato Bangala 57-20 in another match. — HNS

NTSC get help

KATHMANDU: Nabil Three Star Club (NTSC) got financial assistance of Rs 200,000 from former national player and two other well wishers. According to the club president Lalit Krishna Shrestha, former national player Pawan Bahadur Shrestha, the founder president of the NTSC Dinkar Govinda Amatya and an American citizen Taju Dain Ali granted the amount to the club. — HNS

KATHMANDU: New Shrine beat Universal 39-27 and Mount Glory defeated New Summit 48-43 in the fourth TIA Inter-school Basketball Tournament today. Tashi Lama scored 11 for New Shrine while Rohit Lama netted 22 points for Mount Glory. Likewise, Shrine registered a narrow 39-32 win over Kantipur and BRL defeated HIMS 40-32. — HNS
