LA champions :

LALITPUR: Hosts Little Angels’ won the team championship with 94 points at the seventh LA Inter-school Swimming Championship. Baba Boarding School finished second with 73 points while KISC came third with 68 points. Sandeep Pradhan of the LA and Oshin Bharati of Shahid Dharma Bhakta were awarded with the youngest boy and girl swimming awards. Shishir Gurung won the most talented swimmer award. NSC Member Secretary Jeewan Ram Shrestha gave away the awards. — HNS

ITF Taekwondo :

KATHMANDU: Bagmati won four gold and Dhaulagiri won one on the first day of the fourth National Senior Taekwondo Championship organised by Nepal ITF here today. Kusum Thapa, Laxmi Maya Gautam, Kusal Thapa and Ram Sundar Shre-stha gave Bagmati the gold medals while Anushka Bhattarai won for Dhaulagiri. Earlier, Home minister Krishna Prasad Situala inaugurated the three-day tournament. — HNS

Pragati in semis :

LALITPUR: Pragati Yuva Club and Nayanagar Club advanced to the District League Football semis organised by the Lalitpur FA today. Pragati Yuva played a 0-0 draw with Nawa Suryamukhi Santi Yuva Club while Janamarga Yuva beat Sunrise Club 3-0. — HNS

KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan Army Club registered their 12th consecutive win beating Purbanchal 25-20, 25-13, 25-12 at the Dhorpatan Blue Sky Cup Volleyball League. APF Officers’ Club beat Nightingale 25-20, 28-25, 25-13 and Fulpati Sewa Samaj beat Kavre Offset Press 25-16, 20-25, 31-29, 26-24 while Nuwakot beat Wild Sports Club 25-17, 25-13, 25-12. — HNS
