Fulmaya, Ashim lead

LALITPUR: Fulmaya Kapchhaki (377), Anju Budathoki (353) and Karuna KC (350) are leading the women’s air rifle in the second day of the National Open Shooting Championship on Saturday. Nista Poudel is hoding the top position with 358 points in the women’s air pistol event followed by Krishna Thapa (350) and Susma Shrestha (304). Ashim Yadav (576), Chanas Rai (567) and Krishna (564) are holding the top three positions in the men’s air rifle while Badaruddin Ansari (549), Sudan Khadka (538) and Makar Gurung (535) are leading in the men’s air pistol. — HNS

TIA, Panga win

LALITPUR: Panga School and Trungram Intenational Academy (TIA) entered the final from Group A in the Coca Cola Inter-school Football Tournament on Saturday. Panga defeated Namuna Machhindra School 2-0 while TIA thrashed Kathmandu Modal Academy 7-0. Little Angels School overpowered Bijay Memorial School 4-1 and Manjushree Secondary School beat Adarsha Secondary School 3-1 in other matches. — HNS

Renuka, Sweta TT champs

KATHMANDU: Renuka Khatri (U-12) and Sweta Dangol(U-16)won the ladies singles title in the Ideal Modal Fourth Inter-school Table Tennis Championship on Saturday. Renuka beat Anima Adhikari 11-9, 11-9, 11-7 while Sweta came back from two sets down to beat Ajima Bhusal 11-13, 10-12, 11-6, 11-9, 11-9. Susmita and Ajima claim the ladies doubles championship. — HNS
