Major Bejoy Moktan leaves for Kuala Lumpur

KATHMANDU: Major Bejoy Moktan left for Malaysia to participate in the Maybank Malaysian Open 2006 to be held in Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club from February 16-19. Moktan, who won the Carlsberg Golf Classic held at the Royal Nepal Golf Club (RNGC) in October 2005 edging CB Bhandari on countback, will be the third Nepali golfer to represent RNGC and Carlsberg in the tournament.

Yelamabar Adhikari was the first to compete in 2004 after winning the Carlsberg Classic in 2003 and did the country proud by winning the Odyssey Putter award.

Major NK Rai participated in the event last year. RNGC president SK Singh, marketing director of Gorkha Brewery Rajendra Gurung and marketing manager Ashish Bista bade farewell

to Moktan.
