Malla’s KCTC joins hands with Royal Indoor Cricket

Kathmandu Cricket Training Centre and Royal Indoor Cricket today reached an agreement to share the facility for the training of aspiring cricketers.
KCTC Chairman Gyanendra Malla and President of Royal Indoor Cricket Santosh Sangraula exchanged the memorandum of understanding amidst a programme. As per the MoU, KCTC will upgrade the facility and train school kids with an aim of producing champion cricketers.
“We have finally decided to merge after a lengthy discussion,” said Malla, who is also the vice-captain of national cricket team. “Royal Indoor will be KCTC’s wing and we will conduct training at this facility,” he added. “They have established awesome facilities here with heavy investment and we want to use them to produce good cricketers in the days to come,” he added. The name of the new facility will be Royal KCTC Indoor from now on.
Meanwhile, Royal KCTC defeated Nepal Sports Journalists Forum by 58 runs in the friendly match played to mark the occasion. Batting first, KCTC scored 119 runs in their allotted 12 overs before the NSJF were packed for 61 in 7.2 overs. Malla said they will organise a three-match series with running shield between the two sides from next year.
