KATHMANDU: Manang Marshyangdi Club and New Road Team registered victories in the Martyrs Memorial A Division League here on Sunday.
Chetan Kumar Tharu scored the solitary goal as MMC defeated Three Star Club 1-0.
In another match, NRT best Royal Blue Satdobato Youth Club 2-1. After a goalless first half, Nicolas Serge Song and Sanam Sodemba Limbu scored in the space of four minutes to put NRT 2-0 ahead before Shiva Subedi pulled one back for SYC.
With the win, NRT moved up to seventh and they are level on 29 points with fifth-placed Himalayan Sherpa Club, sixth-placed SYC and eighthplaced Nepal APF FC. MMC climbed up to 10th place and they are tied on 28 points with ninth-placed Nepal Police Club.
Three Star remained at the 11th place with 26 points and they are ahead of Sankata Club on better head-to-head records, while Friends Club (24) and FC Khumaltar (21) are in the relegation zone.
