Pokhara, May 1:

Carlsberg Manang Marsyangdi Club (MMC) and Pokhara ‘B’ entered the semi-finals of the first Pepsi Seven-A-Side International Football Tournament today. MMC ousted Hong Kong Team 3-2 and Pokhara beat Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT) 3-0.

In the first quarter-final, Sunil Subedi struck twice and Khum Gurung scored the other for MMC while Dipen Ale and Bhupen Limbu converted for Hong Kong. Khum equalised for MMC in the 20th minute after Dipen put the Hong Kong ahead in the 10th minute. Sunil gave MMC the lead in the 23rd minute before adding his second in the 47th. Bhupen scored the second for the visitors through header.

In another quarter-final, Ravi Thapa scored in the sixth and 17th minute while Sushil KC added the third in the 23rd the hosts.

Pokhara ‘A’ will take on Dharan Seven-A-Side and MMC will meet Pokhara ‘B’ semi-finals on Friday.
