KATHMANDU: Nabin Gurung has been nominated as the president of Nepal Volleyball Association’s Japan Liaison Committee.

NVA President Manoranjan Raman Sharma handed over the certificate to former volleyball player Gurung and other committee members. Lokesh Khatri is the senior vice-president, while Madan Saud is the vice-president of the 13-member committee.

Likewise, Mukti Subedi is the general secretary, Babin Thapa is the secretary and Dipesh Khatri is the treasurer.

Victor Thada Magar, Hitu Thapa, Mahendra Sahani, Ram Malla, Ram Lamichhane, Kamal Thapa and Prakash Chand are the members. As per the statute, president Gurung nominated Raju Basnet,Jiban Khadka, Kamala Kapri and Kabita Lamichhane as the members.

Meanwhile, Gurung handed over the financial assistance of Rs 40,000 to NVA President Sharma. He had also provided NVA with Rs 50,000 during the friendly series against Bangladesh.

NVA General Secretary Jitendra Bahadur Chand, Secretary Jagadish Bhatta and members Tekraj Bhandari and Rita Koirala were also present on the occasion.
