KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Sports Society felicitated national para-taekwondo coach Kabiraj Negi Lama and four other athletes here on Friday.

Former minister Gagan Thapa and President of the Society Badri Bhattarai handed over the felicitation letter to Lama along with eighth National Games silver medallists — shooter Kuber KC and lifter duo Manisha Ranabhat and Ganesh Ranabhat — during the opening ceremony of the Ganeshman Singh SEE Cup Futsal Tournament at the Grassroots Futsal.

Lama was the coach of the Nepali team that won bronze medals in the third Asian Para-taekwondo Championship in South Korea and eighth World Para-taekwondo Championship in Turkey. Kurans player Upendra Thapa, who took part in the Asian Games in Indonesia, was also honoured on the occasion.
