Rajani finishes first

KATHMANDU: Rajani Shrestha won the second Women's Bikers' Rally here on Saturday. Rajani accumulated 555.7 points in the 36-kilometre rally to beat 35 participants. Chameli Lama (555.5pts) ended up second and Palina Kansakar (550.9pts) finished third. The top three finishers earned Rs 20,000, Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively. The rally that started from Jawalakhel cluminated at the Gokarna Norling Resort. The event was orgnaised by Nepal Automobile Sports Association (NASA) and NASA Women Bikers Group.

Main Dojo win title

KATHMANDU: Main Dojo claimed the team championship of the 15th Valleywide Bal Namuna Goju-Ryu Karate Tournament on Saturday. Main Dojo bagged nine gold, six silver and five bronze medals. Valley Public School won three gold and as many silver along with six bronze medals to finish second, while hosts Bal Namuna Secondary School, who won one bronze less, came third. Sunil Kumar Thing of Main Dojo and Maya Thapa Magar of Valley Public were delcared the best players.

Sinalchu in semis

DHANKUTA: Sinalchu Club of Sikkim defeated DFC Morang 5-3 to reach the semi-finals of the Sahid Bhim Narayan Shrestha Running Shield Football Tournament here on Saturday. Palman Rai completed his hattrick scoring in 28, 56 and 69 minutes for Sinalchu while Dendu Lepcha and Tempo Bhutiya added one each. Yakub Rai, Diwas Subba and Sunil Sardar replied for DFC Morang. Himalayan Sherpa Club of Kathmandu will take on Temke Club of Dharan on Sunday.
