KATHMANDU: National Sports Council Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista on Tuesday met coaches of 11 sports associations that have been given responsibilities of the national team preparation.

Currently, 83 men and 70 women players of wushu, taekwondo, karate, athletics, boxing, weightlifting, table tennis, shooting, badminton, archery and judo are under training as part of national team preparation since March 9. During the meeting with the coaches, Member Secretary Bista inquired about the preparations and warned the coaches to be serious about the training.

Bista said NSC would provide all the required kits for the training. “Submit the lists of requirements to NSC for the essential equipment that players need for their training. There will be no compromise on sports gears,” he added.
