National team kits unveiled

Lalitpur, February 1

The All Nepal Football Association today unveiled the new playing and training kits of the national team.

National men’s team vice-captain Bharat Khawas and women’s team skipper Renuka Nagarkote made public the gears sponsored by Spanish sportswear company Kelme at a programme.

According to ANFA President Narendra Shrestha, Kelme will provide the football governing body with a total of 3,788 pieces of kits for all the national teams — men, women and juniors — over a period of one year. “We would like to thank Kelme for joining hands with ANFA,” said Shrestha. “The deal is worth $55,000 and there is no big change in the layout. We have continued with Red as home set and Blue colour as away,” he added.

As per the deal, Kelme will provide the ANFA with 514 men’s bibs, 1097 soccer sets, 150 men’s pants, six goalkeeper sets, 55 shoulder bags, 10 big ball bags, 1706 socks, 100 polo t-shirts and 150 training jackets.

Pradeep Neupane, distribution head of Kelme in Nepal, said the company was happy to be associated with Nepali football. “We are very happy to sponsor the ANFA. Though we have signed one-year deal, we are ready to extend it in coming years,” said Neupane.

ANFA Senior Vice-president Mani Kunwar said he was delighted to land Kelme as the official kits sponsor of Nepali football. “The Chinese Football Association had agreed to find us a suitable sponsor for our national teams when we visited China. We hope the deal will be beneficial to both Kelme and ANFA,” said Kunwar. “The fan jerseys will be made available soon through the Kelme outlets.”
