APF, Central advance to semi-finals

Nepal APF Club and Central Region advanced to the semi-finals of the CoAS fifth International Women’s Football Tournament here at the Army Physical and Sports Training Centre today.
APF thrashed Eastern Region 14-0 to make it to the last four. APF’s Sabitra Bhandari scored nine goals alone, while Saru Limbu and Anita Basnet added two goals each and Renuka Nagarkoti netted one. Bhandari opened the scoring for APF in the fourth minute and added her second goal in the 16th minute before completing her hat-trick in the 18th minute. Bhandari then scored six more goals in the 19th, 28th, 34th , 37th , 47th and 58th minutes.
Similarly, Limbu scored her first goal in the 18th minute and added another in the 38th, while Basnet netted a brace in the 11th and 49th minutes. Nagarkoti found the back of the nets in the 22nd minute.
In another match, Central Region defeated Far-western Region 1-0 riding on a solitary goal from Rashmi Kumari Ghising. Ghising scored the match winning goal in the 56th minute.
On Sunday, Tribhuvan Army Club will take on Gyalsing West Sikkim Football Team of India, while Nepal Police Club will play against Bihar Football Team of India.
