Nepal beat Australia by 8 wickets in Blind Cricket World Cup

KATHMANDU: Nepal have won the match against Australia by 8 wickets in a consolation game in the ongoing Blind Cricket World Cup.

Nepal came victorious with four overs to spare while chasing the target of 299 runs.

Australia elected to bat first after winning the toss and put up a score of 298 runs in 40 overs.

However, Nepali team have been already knocked out of the tournament after facing three consecutive defeats in earlier matches, informed Rajan Shah, cricket journalist and Creative Director of Dhangadhi Premier League.

Nepal made its first ever appearance in the 40 overs Blind Cricket World Cup Tournament, had previously lost to Bangladesh, Pakistan and India.

The fifth Blind Cricket World Cup is currently being held in Pakistan. Six teams including host country Pakistan along with India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Australia and Nepal qualified to participate in the tournament.

With Nepal and Australia in the bottom of the table, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have entered the semi finals.
