KATHMANDU: Nepal defeated Hong Kong 3-1 in their second friendly volleyball match on Monday.
Nepal, who had registered a 3-2 victory in the first match on Sunday, claimed the first two sets with comfortable margin of 25-16 and 25-14.
However, Hong Kong won the third set 28-26 and remained in the game. Nepal then took the fourth set 27-25 to complete the victory and win the series 2-0. Nepal skipper Im Rana Magar said his side put up an improved show,
especially in receiving and defense.
“Although, we lost our rhythm in the third set, we won the fourth one due to good coordination between receiver and blocker,” said Magar. Similarly, coach Birendra Prasad Chaudhary was satisfied with his team’s performance.
