NCS face defeat
KATHMANDU: Nepal Cricket School faced a four-wicket defeat against Payyade Sports Club of Mumbai in their first 50-over match of the U-14 Bilateral Series here at the Tribhuvan University Stadium today.
Put into bat first, NCS were bowled out for 89 runs in 34 overs before the Indian side raced to 90-6 in 23.2 overs.
Shishir Bhujel scored 32 off 56 balls hitting a six, while Bishwant Baral contributed 17 off 35 balls for NCS. Samay Jigeshvyas picked up three wickets and Mithil Karekar claimed two wickets for PSC.
In reply, Vineet Yadav top scored for PSC with an unbeaten 35 off 46 that included four boundaries. Raj Ketan Shah hit two boundaries in his 18 not out. Atharva Poudel claimed three wickets and Ayush Baniya took two four NCS. Samay Jigeshvyas of PSC was named the man-of-the-match.
