Blind Cricket World Cup T20: Nepal face defeat

KATHMANDU: Nepal faced a 10-wicket defeat against Australia in the opening match of the second T20 World Cup Cricket Tournament for Blind in Delhi, India on Tuesday.

Batting first, Nepal scored 143-8 riding on Sunil Subedi Chhetri’s 36-ball 34. Skipper Kritan Shrestha Duwal remained unbeaten on 29 off 20 balls hitting three fours.

Ramesh Bahadur Baniya (18) and Sunil Thapa Magar (12) also reached double figures. In reply, Australia completed the target in 12.4 overs without losing a wicket. Matthew James Cameron remained unbeaten on 68 off 43 balls cracking five boundaries and Stephen Leo Palmer hit 39-ball 48 not out with the help of two boundaries.
