Nepal faced a 13-run defeat against the UAE in the ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier match played at home today.

Chasing a target of 123 runs, Nepal was restricted to 109 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. Captain Puja Mahato was Nepal's standout performer, scoring 48 runs. Sana Pravin and Soni Pakhrin contributed 19 runs each, while Jyotsnika Marasini added 11, Sabitra Dhami 7, and Alisha Kumari Yadav 3 runs.

Nepal will face Thailand in their next match on Sunday. The team that finishes at the top of the four-team qualifier will secure a spot in the World Cup to be held in Malaysia next year.
