Nepal football team receive congratulations galore
KATHMANDU: After they won the Bangabandhu Gold Cup title, ending a 23-year tile drought, congratulations poured in for the Nepal national football team.
Issuing a statement this evening, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli congratulated the team as well as coaches on behalf of himself and the government.
He expressed a commitment that the government would remain always cooperative to promotion of sports.
Likewise, former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai congratulated the team on Twitter. "Let all of us be proud of youth players who held the nation's head high."

Napal national cricket team captain Paras Khadka also posted a congratulatory message on his Twitter account.

The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has already announced that it would award Rs 500,000 cash reward to each member of the national football team.
