Players picked up
KATHMANDU: Nepal Handball Association on Wednesday picked up 14 players each in men’s and women’s teams for the IHF Trophy slated to be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh from October 9-13. Tenzen Lama, Narendra BC, Ramesh KC, Aashish Adhikari, Sachit Karki, Sandeep Khadka, Chandra KC, Sarun Shrestha, Bhuwan Shahi, Sujan Maharjan, Sujan Magar, Sudhanshu Shrestha, Matrika Rai and Rajesh Tamang are in men’s team. Bhim Bahadur KC, Vice-president of the association, is the team manager, while Himal Dahal and Ramesh Sapkota are the coaches. Similarly, women’s team has Nisha Rai, Ramila Basnet, Yasodha Tamrakar, Sangita Shrestha, Tara Devi Mahat, Laxmi Rai, Sushmita Baidhya, Shila Regmi Chhetri, Ramita Khadka, Aakriti Gurung, Babita Shrestha, Pratima Thapa, Aaita Lama and Anjana Mall as players. Association member Prakash Kunwar is the team manager, while Parbat Gurung and Binda Kumari Maharaji are the coaches. A total of nine teams from Central and South Asia will take part in the event.
