Nepal in Group of Death

KATHMANDU: Nepali under-21 cricket team is tied in the Group of Death of the 11th South Asian Games slated for January 29 to February 9 in Dhaka.

Nepal will play Asian cricket giants India and Pakistan along with dark horse Afghanistan in Group ‘B’ after cricket was included for

the first time in the regional meet. The Group ‘A’ comprises of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Maldives. Top two teams from each of the groups will advance to the semi-finals.

Nepal will start their campaign against Pakistan in February 2 before playing India

the following day.

The team will round up their league match against Afghanistan on February 4. The tie-sheet was drawn in Dhaka on Monday, informed the Cricket Association of Nepal.
