Nepal slip one position down in FIFA ranking

KATHMANDU: Nepal have fallen one position down in the latest FIFA ranking published on Thursday.

Nepal's home draw against Yemen during the AFC 2019 Asian Cup qualifiers cost them valuable points to improve their world ranking.

According to FIFA, Nepal have slipped to one position down to 170th in this month ranking with 117 points.

World Champions Germany regained top spot after conquering Confederations Cup in Russia after defeating Chile in the final in St. Peters burgh.

India swiftly moved to four places up to 96th positions with 341 points. India is on the ascendancy after winning two AFC 2019 Asian Cup qualifiers game against Myanmar and Kyrgyzstan.

Maldives have climbed 14 spots up to 142nd position in this months ranking. Bhutan also improved their last month world ranking and moved two spots up to 164th positions.

Likewise, Bangladesh too moved two spots up to 190th positions in the ranking while, Sri Lanka and Pakistan have remained static in 197th and 200th positions respectively in this month FIFA World Ranking.

World Champions Germany moved to the submit after almost two years after lifting the World Cup 2014 in Brazil.

Brazil, Argentina, Portugal and Switzerland fills the top five list in this month ranking.
