Nepal struggle on Day I
Kathmandu, May 26:
Nepal was struggling at 41/7 in the first innings after dismissing Malaysia for 134 runs in 52.3 overs in the Group ‘A’ match of the ACC U-15 Cup (Elite Group) cricket tournament at Kelab stadium in Kuala Lumpur on Friday.
Opting to field first after winning the toss, Nepal bowled out the hosts to 134, thanks to a disciplined bowling by Krishna Karki, who took four wickets. Rochak Bhatta and Pradip Ayer claimed three wicket each. Saajrul top-scored with 62 runs for Malaysia, while Mohammed Hajik contributed 26.
In reply, Surendra Chand was the top-scorer for Nepal so far with 11 runs while Vivek Dali made 10 and Ayush Sharma was unbeaten on seven. Fajali claimed three wickets for Malaysia. Nepal will continue its innings of the two-day match on Saturday.
