In a highly competitive match, Nepal defeated Iran to reach the final of the CAVA Women's Nations Volleyball League.

The match, held on Tuesday at the National Sports Council complex in Tripureshwar, saw Nepal triumph over Iran in straight sets with scores of 25-21, 28-26, and 25-20.

With this victory, Nepal will face India in the League's final. Earlier, Nepal and Iran had advanced to the semi-finals, ranking second and third in the points table, respectively.

Following the historic win, Nepal's chief coach, Jagdish Bhatta, expressed his happiness, stating that Nepal's success was achieved by learning from past mistakes. Previously, Iran had defeated Nepal 3-2 in the second match of the league stage.

In the final match scheduled for Wednesday, Nepal will face India, buoyed by their earlier victory over India in the league stage. The first semi-final, played on Tuesday between Sri Lanka and India, concluded with India winning in straight sets, 3-0.
