Nepal to play T20 series in Malaysia
KATHMANDU: Nepal will play a two-match Twenty20 International series against Malaysia next month.
According to Malaysian Cricket Board, the two sides will face each other at the Kinrara Academy Oval in Kuala Lumpur on July 13-14. Nepal and Malaysia are preparing for the ICC T20 World Cup Asian Regional Finals Qualifier slated for July 22-28 in Singapore.
Kuwait and Qatar are the other national in the five-team regional finals and the winners will earn berth in the global qualifiers to be held in October and November in the United Arab Emirates.
A total of 14 teams will compete in the global qualifiers with top six sides joining hosts Australia and nine others — Pakistan, India, England, South Africa, New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh — in the 16-team World Cup.
