Nepal women’s cricket team lose to Pakistan by 9 wickets

KATHMANDU: Nepal women’s cricket team lost to Pakistan by nine wickets during their second match of the Asia Cup at Asian Institute of Technology Ground in Bangkok of Thailand on Saturday.

Losing only wicket, Pakistan wrapped up the innings in 10 overs.

Ayesha Zafar scored highest 26 runs for Pakistan with three 4s off 35 balls.

Similarly, Javeria Khan (not out) scored for 16 runs off 12 balls and Nain Abidi (not out) scored three runs off four balls.

Nepal women's cricket team post 48-run target to Pakistan

KATHMANDU: Nepal women's cricket team have posted a target of 48 runs to Pakistan during the second of the Asia Cup at Asian Institute of Technology Ground in Bangkok of Thailand on Saturday.

Losing all wickets, Nepal were restricted to 47 runs in 18.7 overs.

Nepal's performance was not impressive since the players could not score well in their first innings. Highest scorer, Rubina Chhetry, only scored 11 run off 33 balls before being bowled by Bismah Maroof.

Jyoti Pandey and Indu Barma scored eight runs each and Karuna Bhandari scored six. Two others scored one run each.

Four of the players were sent back to the pavilion without any run in their accounts.

The innings had 10 extras.

Nepal had opted to bat first after winning the toss.
