Nepali team lose again

Nepal went down to Thailand by eight wickets in their fourth match of the ACC Women’s Asia Cup in Thailand today.
Batting first, Nepal were all out for 63 runs in 19.5 overs as the team crossed the 50-run mark for the first time in the tournament. In reply, the hosts reached 65-2 with four overs to spare.
Opener Jyoti Pandey was the lone batter who scored in double figures for Nepal. Pandey struck two fours in her 26-ball 16. Sita Rana Magar was the second best with nine runs.
Sornnarin Tippoch and Suleeporn Laomi took two wickets each for Thailand, while Chanida Sutthiruang, Nattaya Boochatham, Ratanaporn Padenglerd and
Sainammin Saenya claimed one each.
In reply, Thailand openers Nattakan Chantam and Sirintra Saengsakaorat put 46 runs in 12 overs to ease the chase. Saengsakaorat remained unbeaten on 27 off 45 balls, while Chantam scored 41-ball 24. Sarita Magar took both the wickets for Nepal.
Nepal, who faced a nine-wicket defeat against Pakistan, suffered an eight-wicket loss at the hands of Sri Lanka before going down by 92 runs against Bangladesh in their first three matches, will play their fifth and final match of the tournament against India on Friday.
