Kathmandu, December 15

Nepal youth team on Friday left for Bangladesh to take part in the SAFF U-15 Women’s Championship slated for December 17-24 at the Bir Shrestha Mostofa Kamal Stadium in Dhaka.

A total of four teams — hosts Bangladesh, Nepal, India and Bhutan — are competing in the tournament which will be played under round robin format. After the round robin matches, top two teams will advance to the final.

Nepal will play their first match against Bangladesh on Sunday and take on India two days later. Nepal will then face Bhutan on December 21.

Meanwhile, National Sports Council Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista and All Nepal Football Association President Narendra Shrestha among others bade farewell to the team at the ANFA Complex.
