Nepal's Ananya Khadka bags three medals in Open Roller Sports Tournament in Thailand
KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Ananya Khadka, a third grader at Rajarshi Gurukul, has won three medals in the Open Roller Sports Promotional Tournament held in Pattaya of Thailand recently.
The event was organised by the Asian Roller Sports Committee at Pattaya, Thailand last week.
Ananya Khadka, managed to secure a podium position in all categories he had participated, according to the organiser.
He bagged two bronze medals in the categories U-9 500 m and U-9 1000 m race and a silver medal in relay race.
Bikalpa Timilsina, from the same school, also managed to secure third place in the U-11 1000 m race.
Three students from Rajarshi Gurukul, Ananya Khadka, Bikalpa Timilsina and Soyal Sangam Sharma represented Nepal in the sporting event.
All three participated in the relay race as a team under the name "Team Nepal" and were able to secure the second place and bagged a silver medal.
Players from Thailand, India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh had participated in the competition.
