KATHMANDU: The Cricket Association of Nepal postponed the NepalT20 Cricket League, which was slated to begin at the TU Stadium on Friday, for the third time.

"The premier Twenty20 tournament of the country is pushed ahead by one day due to technical reasons," CAN said in a release.

"The tournament will now begin on Saturday," the release added. According to CAN President Chatur Bahadur Chand, the six franchise teams were yet to acquire permission from labour department for foreign players.

"As we have already started the process, we hope to get it by Friday," he added.

CAN has signed strategic and commercial agreement with Indian company Seven3Sports for the tournament.

Meanwhile, CAN appointed its General Manager Britant Khanal as Tournament Director of the NepalT20.
