New Diamond maintain lead

New Diamond Academy continued their winning run in the 12th Blue Sky TVS Dhorpatan Women's Double League Volleyball Tournament here today.

In the fourth-round match of the first league, New Diamond Academy hammered Bijeshwori Gyan Mandir Army School in straight sets of 25-2, 25-3, 25-0. With their fourth straight win in as many matches, New Diamond Academy accumulated 12 points from four matches to stay at the top of the table. Nepal APF Club are second with nine points from three matches. APF, who dropped the first set against their departmental rivals Nepal Police Club, bounced back to win the next three sets. APF won the match 20-25, 25-15, 25-16, 25-16 to remain unbeaten in the tournament.

Chandeshwori Club of Ramechhap moved up to third position with seven points after they defeated New Diamond Sports Club 25-23, 25-21, 25-9. Likewise, Tribhuvan Army Club defeated Chandeshwori Club in straight sets of 25-6, 25-19, 25-10 to accumulate six points from three matches. TAC are at the fourth position. Nepal Police Club returned to beat hosts Dhorpatan Club 3-0 in their second match of the day. This time NPC registered a 25-12, 25-10, 25-17 victory and they are at the fifth position with six points from four matches, while Dhorpatan have two points.
