NEPALGUNJ: New Diamond Academy entered the semi-finals of the third Prime Minister Cup Indo-Nepal Women’s Volleyball Tournament here on Wednesday. New Diamond defeated Western Region 25-20, 25-22, 25-13 to make it to the last four with one match still to play. Also joining them in the semis were Nepal APF Club and India’s Railway and Uttar Pradesh teams. Railway beat hosts Mid-western Region 25-7, 25-9, 25-6, while others teams were not in action. A total of six teams are taking part in the event organised by Banke District Volleyball Association. Meanwhile, the organisers feted coach Kumar Rai and veteran individuals for their contributions in volleyball.
