New football coach arrives
Kathmandu, April 21:
Nepal’s new national football coach Thomas Flath arrived here today.
Flath has arrived to look after the Nepali national team as part of the German Football Association assistance. All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) had asked the German association in their bid to prepare for the AFC Challenge Cup and SAFF Football Championship. The AFC Challenge Cup is slated to begin from May 24 in Cambodia while the SAFF Championship is scheduled for June 3-14 in Maldives and Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, the ANFA informed that DHL Football Club of the United Arab Emirates was scheduled to visit Nepal to play a friendly match against defending national league champions Nepal Police Club.
The two teams will play a friendly match at the Dasharath Stadium on April 26, said ANFA. The match will be a part of the Nepali club’s preparation for the upcoming AFC President’s Cup, added ANFA.
