NIBL Tennis Tournament begins on February 18

Kaski District Tennis Association, in association with All Nepal Lawn Tennis Association, is organising the ninth Nepal Investment Bank Open Tennis Tournament here from February 18-21.
“The tournament will be the country’s biggest tennis event in terms of participation and the prize money,” claimed the organisers. A total of 110 players are participating in the tournament that features five events, informed tournament convenor Binod Kayastha. The likes of Kumar Adhikari, Jitendra Pariyar, Ramesh Karki, Preeti Rijal and Malika Rana have confirmed their participation in the tournament that will be held in seven different courts in Pokhara.
The winner in men and women’s singles will receive Rs 40,000 each, while the runners up will get Rs 20,000 apiece. The third-placed players in both the sections will be receiving Rs 5,000 each. The top two players in men’s doubles will receive Rs 15,000 and Rs 7,500 respectively. The women’s doubles and mixed doubles winners will also get cash prizes.
