KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 7

The Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) has announced the nominees for the 22nd edition of the Pulsar Sports Awards, honoring the best athletes and coaches of 2081 BS.

Five nominees each have been selected in four categories: Male Player, Female Player, Youth Player, and Coach of the Year.

In the male category, cricketers Dipendra Singh Airee and Kushal Bhurtel, wrestler Bijay Sinjali, table tennis player Shantu Shrestha, and kho kho player Janak Chand are in contention.

The female category includes Erika Gurung, footballer Rekha Paudel, Elisha Raskoti Magar, kho kho player Manmati Dhami, and volleyball player Salina Shrestha.

Youth nominees are Ajay BK (athletics), Anjali Maharjan (karate), Pooja Mahato (cricket), Swastika (boxing), and Sameer Tamang (football).

The coach category features Kabiraj Negi Lama (para taekwondo), Kushal Shrestha (karate), Deepak Maharjan (boxing), Mahesh Rijal (cricket), and Lakshmi Narayan Baidya (kho kho).

The winners will be announced at an award ceremony on September 14 in Pokhara.
