Nepal Police Club (NPC) defeated Nepal APF Club 25-20, 25-15, 25-21 in the final of the third Deep Jyoti Binamay Men’s Volleyball Championship organised by Dhorpatan Training Centre here on Sunday. This was NPC’s second victory over APF in the tournament. ECS Manpower finished third with a 20-25, 25-21, 12-25, 25-21, 15-12 win over Ghiring Sundhara Tanahu. The top three teams received Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively. Ishwor Dhamal of APF was named the best player of the tournament, while his teammate Kailash Bhatta was adjudged the best server. The NPC duo Em Bahadur Rana Magar and Prem Shahi were declared the best spiker and blocker respectively. Member Secretary of National Sports Council Jeevan Ram Shrestha gave away prizes to the winners.
