NSJF, Ruslan extend sponsorship deal

KATHMANDU, JANUARY 7

The Nepal Sports Journalists Forum and Ruslan Football on Thursday extended the sponsorship deal for the Pulsar Sports Award.

NSJF President Durganath Subedi and Jawalakhel Group of Companies CEO Sasin Joshi signed the memorandum of understanding.

As per the agreement, Ruslan Football will continue to support the Award as one of the co-sponsors. CEO Joshi lauded NSJF’s efforts in organising the award. “We are happy to continue our support for the award despite going through difficult times,” said Joshi. NSJF President Subedi thanked the Ruslan Football for the support. “Ruslan is not a new name in Nepali sports and we are grateful to the company for extending the agreement,” he said.

The 17th edition of the Award is scheduled for January 12 at the karate covered hall on the premises of International Sports Complex in Lalitpur. The Award features 10 categories — male, female, youth, coach, people’s choice, special, para-athlete, lifetime achievement, team and international sports journalist. The winners in four categories — male, female, coach and people’s choice — will receive Pulsar motorcycle each, while others will get Rs 50,000 apiece.

Hansaraj Hulaschand and Company is the main sponsor of the event, while Surya Nepal, Dish Home, Royal Singi Hotel, Turkish Airlines, Ruslan, Kelme, Hotel Crown Plaza, National Sports Council and Nepal Olympic Committee are co-sponsors and partners.
