NT, Nepal Police sign contract

Kathmandu, January 13

Nepal Telecom and Nepal Police Club today inked the sponsorship deal of the football teams.

Nepal Police IGP Upendra Kanta Aryal and NT Managing Director Buddhi Prasad Acharya put the pen on papers and exchanged the Memorandum of Understanding. They also unveiled the team jersey.

NT had started sponsoring the NPC five years ago and both the parties agreed to continue with the deal, which is worth Rs 2.2 million per year Rs 1.6 million for men’s team and Rs 600,000 for the women’s team.

According to the agreement, NT will use the NPC players in their advertisement campaign, while NPC will sport jersey with sponsor’s logo.

Nepal Telecom MD Acharya said the deal was done to develop the standard of the game and NPC were one of the oldest clubs of the country.

“Congratulations for the past success and as a sponsor we would like to see Nepal Police Club reach to greater heights and bring positive results,” he said.

IGP Aryal thanked Nepal Telecom for their continued support. “From the establishment of the club we have made significant contribution in Nepali football,” he said.

“For the past few years we have not done well but I assure you that we will do whatever we can from our side for the team,” said Aryal.
