KATHMANDU: Pinnacle College and Orient College recorded victories in the second Patriots Cup Inter-college T20 Cricket Tournament here at the Mulpani grounds on Tuesday.
Pinnacle defeated Prime College by 48 runs. In a match reduced to five-overa-side, Pinnacle posted 71-1 before Prime managed 23-5. Player-of-thematch Khadak Bohara scored a quick fire 46 off just 21 balls, while Bishal Bikram KC remained unbeaten on 10-ball 20.
In reply, Abanish Tripathi top scored for Prime with run-a-ball 12 not out. In another match, Orient outplayed Public Youth Campus by 84 runs.
Player-of-the-match Deepak Mahato top scored with 28-ball 50, while Bibek Thakur contributed 23 as Orient posted 138-9 in 20 overs. In reply, Mahato (3-7) and Dinesh Budha Magar (3-8) shared six wickets between them to pack PYC for a paltry 54 runs in 13.1 overs. Bishal Patel grabbed two wickets for Orient.
