Players off to Dhaka
KATHMANDU: A 12-member Nepali team on Saturday left for Dhaka to participate in the Bangladesh International Badminton Challenge slated from December 1-5.
Ratnajeet Tamang, Bikash Shrestha, Dipesh Dhami, Sajan Krishna Tamrakar and Bishnu Katuwal will participate in men’s events, while Sara Devi Tamang, Nangsal Devi Tamang, Sikchya Shrestha and Asmita Giri will take part in women’s section.
According to Nepal Badminton Association General Secretary Ramjee Bahadur Shrestha, a total of 24 nations will compete in the championship.
NSC Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista and President of Nepal Badminton Association Ramesh Kumar Shresth bade farewell to the team.
After the championship, Tamang and Shrestha will participate in Tata India Badminton Championship slated from December 9-13 in Mumbai.
