KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has pledged to provide full support for the development of sports sector in the country.

Inaugurating the First Prime Minister Cup and third National Munwathai Championship organized by Nepal National Munwathai Association in the capital on Friday, Prime Minister Dahal said that the government would not leave any stones unturned for the development and expansion of the sports. He also said Sports is the medium for building country's image worldwide.

The championship which kicked off at the Covered Hall of the National Sports Council at Tripureswor, Rupak Nepali of Armed Police Force and Bibek Gadal of Central Munwathai emerged victorious.

Some 14 teams are contesting in the championship which would conclude on February 25.
