LALITPUR, DECEMBER 20

Adya Poudyal and Saksham Bikram Shah advanced to the semi-finals of the Jayakar Memorial National Junior Tennis Tournament here on Monday.

Poudyal defeated Jenny Khadka 6-1, 6-3 in the U-14 girls' singles match, while Shah recorded a double bagel against Siddhant Pradhan in boys section.

Poudyal teamed up with Samridhi Maharjan to outplay Swastika Bista and Mansa Kandel 6-1, 6-1 in girls' doubles. In U-12 boys' singles, Samkha Hang Rai beat Sanjok Blown 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 and Adrin Thapa defeated Avash Natha Shrestha 7-6, 6-3 to enter quarter-finals.

In U-12 girls' section, Swastika Bista beat Mansa Kandel 6-2, 6-0, Shivali Gurung outplayed Lasha Prajapati 6-0, 6-0, and Prajna Manandhar earned a walkover from Karmishtha N Shrestha to advance to the semi-finals.

Likewise, Samkha Hang Rai, Sanjog Blon and Spandan Udas made it to the last four in U-10 boys' singles, while Merisha Thapa advanced to the girls' section semis with a walkover win from Malashree Singh.
