Queens Events Management Pvt Ltd reached the sponsorship deal with VG Automobiles Pvt Ltd, the authorised distributor of Suzuki motors for Nepal, for the Pokhara Premier League here today.

Managing Director of Queens Events Management Chhumbi Lama and Marketing Manager of VG Automobiles Navaraj Koirala signed the memorandum of understanding for the first edition of the premier T20 cricket tournament to be held at the Pokhara Stadium from October 26 to November 6.

As per the agreement, VG Automobiles will provide the PPL organisers with three Suzuki Gixxer motorbikes for the best players of the tournament, informed Queens Event Management in a release. The man-of-the-series, best batsman and best bowler of the tournament will receive the 155cc motorbike each. “We are happy to get the support from VG Automobiles and the prizes will definitely motivate the players to do well in the tournament,” said Queens Events Management MD Lama. “We believe the PPL will be an exciting event,” he added.

A total of six city-based franchise teams are taking part in the tournament. National team skipper Paras Khadka is the marquee player of Chitwan Rhinos, while his national team deputy Gyanendra Malla leads the Kathmandu Royals. Likewise, Sandeep Lamichhane is the marquee player of Biratnagar Titans, while Butwal Blasters have signed Sompal Kami. Dhangadhi Blues have given the responsibility to Dipendra Singh Airee, whereas Sharad Vesawkar is the marquee player of Pokhara Paltan.
